Two young sporting hopefuls have been awarded a cash boost to help them towards their sporting goals.
Georgia Hannam, 15, and Robbie Wells, 17, both from Morecambe are two of the 14 young athletes to be awarded £500 in the latest round of the Lancashire Rising Fund.
The Lancashire Rising Star Fund, in association with Lancashire Sport Partnership, Lancashire County Council and the University of Central Lancashire awards grants of £500 to individuals to cover costs such as travel, training, accommodation, competition fees, and equipment.
In addition, each recipient will receive a package of support from UCLAN that will include strengthening and conditioning services, nutritional advice and support and access to UCLAN Sports and training facilities.
Georgia is a member of City of Lancaster Triathlon Club and over the last year she finished fourth in the British Championships, where she qualified to attend the Word Championships in Dubai where she finished second, and first in the team event.
She hopes to gain a place on the national squad for the World Championships in October.
Robbie Wells has competed at a national and international level in Tae Kwon-Do.
He regularly has to travel from his home in Morecambe to the Midlands to take part in the England Squad training as he has been selected to represent the country at the Tae Kwon-Do Unified ITF World Championships in London next month.
