Tyson Fury’s latest Twitter target is heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko.

The Morecambe-based undefeated heavyweight regularly takes to the social media site to call out rivals including David Price but has recently turned his attentions to the Ukrainian WBA and WBO champion.

Fury is close to a mandatory match with Wladimir’s brother Vitali with his next fight set to be his American debut at Madison Square Garden on March 17.

But he took to Twitter to say he would fight the younger Klitschko in April if a bout with mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin falls through.

He posted: “Just sayin I’ll fight wlad April 6 if povetcin pulls out! @Klitschko I’m ready for ya! I want u big boy manny (former trainer Emanuel Steward) said I’m da man after u! But I say I’m the man now! There is no one els fight a live fighter wlad! Comonnn.”

The 24-year-old also went in to a fit of rage when internet rumours surfaced suggesting Wladimir could face former Cuban Olympic star Odlanier Solis, who lost to Vitali in 2011, suffering a knee injury in the first round.

The 6ft9 Fury tweeted: “@Klitschko...fight me!!! Solid is fat.,,got ko (knocked out) by vitally in 2.”

The former British and Commonwealth champion’s targets have even recently included UFC world champion Cain Velasquez, who he referred to as a “midget”.

He is currently on a training camp in Belgium ahead of the March date against a yet to be named opponent.
