Preston’s Ian Bibby won the Motorpoint Grand Prix Series event for the second year running after Matt Holmes of Madison Genesis was caught on the line on Sunday.

Chris Lawless had initially broken clear from a lead group of 18 riders, holding a 15-second advantage with 18 miles to go.

His challenge eventually fell away however with Holmes the first make a solo attack.

He did manage to get away only for Bibby to dart in front to take the win as Pedal Heaven’s Pullar and Adrian Moreno Sala of Raleigh GAC also nipped ahead.

Last Wednesday, July 6, Pullar finished third at the Skipton Grand Prix, round three of the British Cycling Elite Circuit Series, as Jacob Hennessy took the victory after a sprint finish.
