Mayor and Davis Cup stars to visit tennis club

Saturday, April 9 will be a special day for Lancaster Tennis Club when, at 1pm, the Mayor of Lancaster, City Councillor Jon Barry, will be launching the recently resurfaced courts and new mini court at a special ceremony.

Then, from 2pm, former Davis Cup players Danny Sapsford and Luke Milligan from Bright Ideas for Tennis will be delivering coaching and demonstrations as a charity event to help to raise funds for the club.

The last time Sapsford and Milligan visited the club for the same kind of event, it was very successful and hugely enjoyable for those in attendance.

There will be coaching sessions for different age groups and for adults as well as a serving speed gun, BBQ and raffle.

There are still a small number of places left on the coaching sessions.

The fees are: adults £10; juniors £8 and under 10s £7 with an extra £1 for anyone who is not a club member.
