Morecambe hit top form to see off St Lukes C in the final of the Lancaster and Morecambe Table Tennis League’s Kennon Cup.

Adam Ordenez, Hudson Nuttall and Abhinav Sinha were dominant with Sinha and Ordenez giving their team a dream start when they won the opening two sets.

Jerad Holmes hit back for the Saints before Nuttall won the deciding set 11-7 in the fifth game against Ken Lea to win the Trophy Plate for Morecambe.

Raptors retained the Kennon Trophy following their decisive 5-2 win against St Lukes B.

Carl Stebbing, Ian Felton and Paul Stebbing overcame the handicap start for Matt Neal, Martin Wakelin and James Neal.

In the 2013 Junior Championships, the tournament was played under a banded system.

Band One was won by Carnforth High School pupil Aiden Branch who also took over the number one local ranking position.

Abhinav Sinha won Band Two following very competitive group matches against Will Silverwood, Harry Waddingham and Bradley Wilkinson.

In Band Three Dan Main won with a 100 per cent record with Daniel Handford in second place.

Matthew Westworth had to be on top form to win Band Four with Elliott Bywater the runner up.

Scott Wilding took part in his first competitive tournament to win Band Five while Andrew Bebbington was making his tournament debut and played well to win Band Six.
