Gary Wolstenholme narrowly missed out on a top-10 finish at the Senior British Open.
The former amateur star finished on level par after four rounds at Royal Birkdale, Southport.
The 52-year-old opened with a round of 70 before a 72 on Friday saw him 16th, seven shots off the lead going into the weekend.
An excellent round of 68 then moved him into the top 10 on Saturday before finishing as he started, with a level par round of 70.
The event was won by American Mark Wiebe, who beat Bernhard Langer in a play-off on Monday morning to take the title.
Play had been delayed on Sunday due to adverse weather so the pair had to return on a fifth day, Wiebe winning at the fifth extra hole as Langer failed to get up and down from the front of the green.
