Heysham’s Mick Wolff made a return to rallying after 22 years out of the sport.

Mick purchased a second-hand BMW and began the long task of making it into what’s resulted in a reliable and pristine rally car and his first rally was the P&R Benn Greystoke Stages Rally - organised by West Cumbria Motorsport
Club.

An entry was submitted, with Mark Twiname as co-driver, and they were seeded at 42 out of a total of 56 crews from across northern Britain.

Mick and Mark brought their V6 ‘Beemer’ safely through to a superb second in Class 4 Award and 29th overall while TEG-Sport’s Arron Newby, sitting in the co-driver’s seat along with Gary Tomlinson (Impreza), finished in second place overall.

Mick was supported by TEG Sport, HG Vehicle Services and Ken Allen, as well as Philip Burton and Ian Newton who helped look after his car.
