A local club is encouraging people to push the boat out and get into sailing.
Arnside Sailing Club is holding a Try Out Sailing Day on Sunday, May 18, between 2pm and 4pm.
Based in the northeastern corner of Morecambe, sailing with the club offers its members a chance to sail amongst impressive views and coastal scenery.
And with a wide estuary and constant winds on the lake, Arnside is the place to be buoyed by perfect sailing conditions.
Club Secretary Alasdair Simpson said: “When the tide is in Arnside is one of the best places to sail in the area.
“The ‘Try Out Day’ is aimed at giving non sailors an opportunity to sail.
“You do not need any experience to join in the fun.”

The club is also taking part in Arnside Silverdale Wet and Wild, a festival celebrating the natural beauty of the Arnside Silverdale Area. The festival will take place from May 17 to 30.
