Table Tennis: Raptors retain title with unbeaten record

Trimpell Raptors retained the Lancaster and Morecambe Table Tennis League Premier Division title with a magnificent unbeaten record.

Paul Stebbing (98 per cent), Ian Felton (97 per cent) and Carl Stebbing (73 per cent) were the bedrock of the team.

Eric Bradbury, David Smith, Chris Lancashire and Mike Rooze took Trimpell City into second place in front of the rising stars in the Garstang Annihilators team.

In the Championship, Barbarians were favourites to win the division and they delivered with the loss of only one match.

Mike White (94 per cent), Clare Towers (86 per cent), Ken Riley (75 per cent), Keith Robertson (50 per cent) and Graham White (29 per cent) all played their part in the team success.

David Hewitt, Ken Lea and Ray Gaskell had an excellent season to drive St Lukes C into second place.
