GRAHAM Hicks has powered his way to another major achievement.
Morecambe’s reigning Britain’s Strongest Man champion at under 105kg moved up to “open weight” at British level and finished fourth in his first try.
Strongman Graham joined 17 other competitors in the Essex event, held as part of the Mr Olympia competition.
“I was aiming for top 10 but to come fourth was a truly amazing feeling, actually better than any of my achievements at under 105kg level,” said Graham, who works at BAE Systems and as a doorman.
“This has put me in a good place now as I may be invited if my form continues to do World’s Strongest Man qualifiers, truly a dream come true if this became reality.”
The winner of the competition was Laurence Shahlaei and second was Terry Hollands.
