Lancaster Water Polo Club continued their fine form on two fronts with good performances in both the North Lancashire League and Bolton and District League.

In the former, the city side were 14-1 winners over Fleetwood.

Scott Sharpe scored five goals, Decland Ellwood a hat-trick and Rysz Detko, Zak Lamb and Michael Brown two.

A squad of 10 players, including several youngsters had made the short trip down the coast expecting reasonably strong competition from a
side who are generally difficult to beat in their home pool.

But with a couple of important players missing Fleetwood struggled to mount much of a challenge.

Lancaster were also 31-4 victors over Preston recently.

Ellwood scored eight goals, London 2012 Olympian Ciaran James six, Brown and Sharpe notched five once again with Walker, Dean Akister, Noel Howson bagging braces and Sam Smith scoring once.

In the Bolton and District League the City side were 22-3 winners at Manchester Sharks.

In the same competition it was a case of honours even when Stretford visited the city, the two sides playing out a 10-10 draw.
