Lancaster and Morecambe Men’s first team could confirm promotion to North Hockey for the first time in the club’s history this weekend.

They drew 2-2 at second in the table Oxton 2s to cement their place at the top of the Barrington Sports North West Hockey League Division One on Saturday.

Lancaster and Morecambe host Didsbury Northern this Saturday at the University of Cumbria in a 2pm kick-off.

The men’s second team were 3-0 victors over Bolton Men’s 3s while the thirds drew 3-3 with Kirkby Lonsdale Men’s 1s.

In the ladies’ section there was mixed fortunes for Lancaster and Morecambe.

The first team won 3-1 against Preston Ladies 2s, the seconds were 7-0 victors over Windermere Ladies 1st but it was a different story for the thirds who lost 13-0 against Brookfields Ladies.
