Dave Chisnall looks to stay top of the Betway Premier League Darts table when he takes on Stephen Bunting at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham on Thursday night.
The Morecambe ace is unbeaten with four wins and a draw from his five matches so far.
He was the better player in the UK Open on Saturday but this is a new game
Bunting picked up his first win last week and also overcame Chisnall during his run to the UK Open semi-finals last weekend, but the Grand Slam runner-up is aiming for revenge when the pair open up the night’s action on Sky Sports 1.
Chisnall said: “I’ve played really well for the last few Thursdays and I want to keep that going against Stephen.
“He was the better player in the UK Open on Saturday but this is a new game.
“I’ve been working hard and the practice is paying off, so I’ll keep doing what I’ve been doing and I’ll be trying to go through the season unbeaten.”
Bunting is one of four players tied on three points at the foot of the table as the battle to avoid elimination on Judgement Night continues, with Raymond van Barneveld also involved in the basement battle alongside two players who face off in Nottingham, Kim Huybrechts and Peter Wright.
Van Barneveld takes on fifth-placed James Wade in Nottingham, while World Champion Gary Anderson plays Adrian Lewis as they look to edge away from the battle at the foot of the table.
The pick of the night’s matches however is arguably Michael van Gerwen and Phil Taylor meeting for the first time in 2015 as the world’s top two ranked players collide.
The action on Sky starts at 7pm with Chisnall against Bunting first up.
