Craig Corrigan won the PGA in Lancs County Championship at Heysham Golf Club on Tuesday.
One of the region’s most consistent professionals for more than two decades, who recently moved from Haigh Hall to the nearby Chilli Dip Academy at Blackrod, opened up with a flawless eight-under-par 62 to spread-eagle the field.
He was less consistent in a second round 67 but claimed the title by three shots from Lee Park’s Chris Crowder.
Fleetwood’s David Corsby was third, seven off the pace.
Knott End Professional Paul Walker retained the senior title with consistent scoring of 70- 71 for a 141 total.
