Dave Chisnall had a mixed weekend at the latest round of Coral UK Open Qualifiers in Wigan.

Morecambe’s darts ace played in rounds four, five and six of the event as players vied for a place in next month’s televised finals.

The world number five had a good run to the last 16 on Friday before a 6-3 defeat to Christian Kist with Brendan Nolan running out the eventual winner.

Chisnall was less successful on Saturday and Sunday however with the events won by Gary Anderson and Michael van Gerwen.

He lost 6-2 to Dean Winstanley in round three of the fifth qualifier before a 6-1 defeat to Ross Smith the following day in the second round.

The resort thrower is next in action in round four of the Betway Premier League Darts on Thursday night when he has a tough task against Gary Anderson in front of the Scotsman’s rowdy home fans at The Hydro, Glasgow live on Sky Sports.
