Dave Chisnall had a weekend to remember at the latest Players Championship events in Barnsley.

The Morecambe ace achieved his sixth nine-dart finish on the PDC circuit against Jamie Caven on Saturday.

Chisnall did lose the third round clash narrowly in the deciding leg 6-5 but then went on to reach the semi-finals of Sunday’s seventh event of the series.

The resort thrower again lost a decisive 11th leg, this time Premier League rival Peter Wright prevailed 6-5.

Wright then went onto lost out in the final 6-3 as Gerwyn Price claimed his maiden PDC title. Josh Payne had won his first senior title in Saturday’s event.
