LANCASTER & Morecambe AC athletes had mixed success over the indoor season but found it exceptionally useful in the build up to the outdoor season.
The season began in November and finished this month with L&M AC athletes travelling to major venues in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland in the search of personal bests and medals.
L&M AC athletes started their indoor season with a trip to the English Institute of Sport Sheffield in December for the NoEAA graded meeting.
Andrew Warren ran well on his indoor debut for seventh in heat three of the 3,000m.
In heat four of the 3,000m Sarah Hodgson had a solid run earning her an excellent fifth place.
Taking on the 600m were Matthew Burns and Mark Gardner and in heat two Burns ran well for fifth with Gardner in heat three finishing fourth despite a slow opening lap.
The next indoor action came a month later with the North of England Championships and first onto the track was Burns running 54.7 seconds but he finished outside the qualifying, showing signs of a good winter’s work however.
