THE first names have been announced for this year’s soap stars charity football.

Ralf Little from The Royle Family and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Ryan Thomas, who plays Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street, Alan Halsall who plays Tyrone Dobbs, Sam Aston who plays Chesney and Ricky Whittle of Hollyoaks fame will line up at Morecambe FC’s Globe Arena in the seventh annual match organised by Heysham power stations to raise money for a number of charities.

This will be the first of the charity games to be played at Morecambe’s new ground.

Samuel Aston, who plays Chesney in Coronation Street, made a guest appearance in last year’s match at Barrow AFC when a crowd of 2,000 saw the All Stars clock up their sixth consecutive victory against the Bay Radio XI, which is made up of the power station’s finest.
