JIM Bentley says he is hopeful of adding two more players to his growing squad in the next few days.
After securing the signature of wide man Izak Reid from Macclesfield on a two-year deal at the weekend, the new Shrimps’ boss has high hopes of clinching a deal for two more players.
Bentley said: “Izak is a great addition to the squad and I am really hopeful that another couple will join us by the weekend.
“I have been talking to one player who can play wide or up front and another who is an extremely experienced midfielder.
“I have spoken at length to both players and shown them around the Globe and they were both really impressed by what the club has to offer.
“Both have said they are keen to sign and it would be great to have those deals done by the weekend with the players reporting back for training next week.”
Reid, 23, rose through the youth ranks with the Silkmen before being handed his debut by then manager Paul Ince in December 2006 and went on to play more than 150 times for the club, but said he was looking forward to a new challenge with the Shrimps.
