MORECAMBE boss Sammy McIlroy is hoping an army of fans will travel to Barnet to back the Shrimps in their six-pointer against fellow relegation strugglers on Saturday.
Shrimps fans have until 5pm today, Wednesday, to take advantage of the free travel to Underhill organised by club officials.
The club hopes that more than 400 supporters will travel to north London to cheer on Morecambe in what has become an increasingly important game.
Defeats against Bury and Bradford last week have left the Shrimps just six points ahead of the Bees at the wrong end of the table and McIlroy says the backing of the fans at Barnet will be vital.
The club is set to take at least six coaches to Underhill much to the delight of McIlroy. He said: “It was a great idea by the club and the players and management were only too happy to back it.
“The support at Chesterfield a few weeks ago was fantastic and to see a great crowd behind us at Barnet will be a real boost to the lads and it will be great to see a lot of red and white on Saturday and create a great atmosphere.”
