Morecambe have injury concerns over Jamie Devitt and Shaun Beeley ahead of the visit of League 2 leaders Scunthorpe United to the Globe Arena on Good Friday.

Both have impressed since arriving at the club in January but have picked up knocks that could see them ruled out of the big bank holiday clash.

Andy Fleming will also serve the second of his three-match ban after his red card against Mansfield but Tony Diagne, Ryan Williams and Marcus Marshall are all set to return to the squad against an Iron side unbeaten in their last 26 games.

Shrimps boss Jim Bentley said: “Drummond’s still out, Chris McCready’s still out and there’s a little bit of a doubt over Devitt and Beeley too which is a bit of a blow.

“Jamie’s hurt his knee and hasn’t trained this week and Shaun Beeley went over on his ankle in training so we’ll have to wait and see.

“Diagne and Williams are back from illness and Marshall will come back into the squad but this year we haven’t had much luck.

“When we look like we’ve got a few players back then one or two get knocks.

“It’s disappointing but we’ll see what’s what.”
