History

Sides have only become direct rivals recently, due to Cod Army’s rapid rise through the leagues. A Jon Parkin hat-trick helped Fleetwood to a dominant 4-0 win at the Globe Arena in September in what was the first Football League meeting between the two sides.

Form

Sacking of Micky Mellon surprised many, and Alexander has drawn his first two games in charge, 0-0 at home to Southend and 2-2 at Gillingham. Saturday’s trip to Oxford was postponed due to the widespread rain. Cod Army currently eighth, one place and one point outside the League 2 play-off places.
