Morecambe’s promising young defender Chris Doyle has returned to the Shrimps after a successful loan spell with Chorley.
The 19-year-old has received rave reviews since joining the Conference North Magpies and Shrimps boss Jim Bentley is convinced the spell away from the Globe will have boosted Doyle’s career.
He said: “I have spoken to Chorley manager Gary Flitcroft and he has nothing but praise or Chris.
“It’s been great for him to play every week in a very competitive league and I’m sure he will have benefited from it.
“It is only by playing regularly that you learn and he has done that.”
Doyle said: “I really enjoyed it.Chorley are a great club and are very ambitious.
“It is a very decent standard as well and I have learned a lot.”
