Morecambe boss Jim Bentley says he can’t wait to get stuck into pre-season.
The Shrimps players return from their summer break next Tuesday, June 25, with Bentley eager to get going.
He said: “I’m looking forward to it.
“I was like that as a player. You have a week or two off and then look forward to getting back. It’s no different now.
“It’s been a busy close season but I want to get my teeth into things now.”
After finding out they would face Wolves in the first round of the Capital One Cup on Monday, the Shrimps’ league fixtures are announced on Wednesday morning.
Bentley said: “Obviously you look for who you’re facing in the first game of the season, over Christmas and a couple of the bigger games.
“I don’t look at it too much because as soon as I know who we’ve got first game of the season all eyes are on that.
“But it’s good for the fans who can start to plan their away trips and see when we’re playing our rivals.”
