Morecambe appoint four new directors to club’s board

Morecambe have appointed four new directors to the club’s board.

Local businessmen and Shrimps fans David Brockbank, James Altham, Richard Altham and Gary Taylor are the new faces at the Globe Arena.

Chairman Peter McGuigan said: “I am delighted that David, James, Richard and Gary have agreed to join the board of directors.

“All are successful local businessmen who also have a great passion for the club and I am sure they will make a significant contribution to the future of this club. “They will undoubtedly add to the current strength of the board at a time that is both challenging and exciting.”

Mr Brockbank, a supporter of the club for more than 50 years, began his career ar Storey’s of Lancaster before forming Aldcliffe Computer Systems.

The company was acquired in 2004 by the Tribal Group Ltd where he served as a commercial director.

James and Richard Altham are managing director and operations director of Morecambe’s Altham Butchers.

Mr Taylor is an executive board member and director of the Star Community Foundation, a non for profit organisation that helps develop sports programmes for children.
