THE Black Dragon Senior Challenge Cup first round brought one of the biggest shocks in the competition for many years when Premier Division side and renowned cup fighters
Ingleton were beaten by Division Three side Moor Lane.
The first half saw Moor Lane play some fast excellent football which had Ingleton chasing shadows at times.
Moor Lane took the lead when Liam Beaton scored.
Ingleton could not reply to this and fell further behind when man of the match Michael Denwood made it 2-0, a lead they held comfortably until half-time.
Ingleton did improve and were rewarded when Paul Bruce scored a good goal.
Although Ingleton had most of the play in the second half the excellent Moor defence was up to the challenge and with some determination they held out to record a brilliant win.
Their reward is a second round tie away to Division Two side Westgate Wanderers this Saturday.
