Lancaster City saw their fourth game in a row postponed on Saturday as the district football programme was completely washed out.

The Dolly Blues had been confident of a return to Evo-Stik First Division North action against Scarborough Athletic but a non-stop deluge throughout the morning left the Giant Axe pitch unplayable.

Phil Brown’s side are next due to be in action when they host Ashton Athletic in the quarter-finals of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy on Tuesday night.

Elsewhere, Sylne-with-Hest’s Richardson Cup first round tie at home to Eagley was called off.

Garstang’s first round clash with Blackpool Wren Rovers had been called off earlier in the week due to their Riverside ground being damaged by Storm Desmond.

The Baines Bagguley Penhale North Lancashire and District Football League programme was also entirely washed out.
