MORECAMBE striker Phil Jevons says he is confident new boss Jim Bentley will make his mark with the Shrimps.
Jevons, who scored in the Shrimps’ 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, said he was looking forward to the new campaign after admitting that last year had been a “disappointment”.
The experienced striker, who scored eight goals in an injury-hit season last year, is hoping for improved fortunes this time around.
He said: “Jim has been amazing so far. The spirit is fantastic, the training has been great and the players he has brought in have been fantastic.
“They have settled in really well and the spirit is amazing.
“There is going to be tremendous competition for places all over the park this year but Jim has still managed to keep everyone happy. I don’t know how he has done it but he has and we are all eager to get going.”
