IN the postponed Lancashire Football Association Amateur Cup third round Highgrove travelled to play Bolton United.
First blood went to Highgrove when Rikki Ball scored but it only took a couple of minutes for the Bolton United side to equalise from the penalty spot.
As half-time approached Highgrove struck with two quick goals scored by Lee Brade, and an excellent free-kick taken by Scott King to give them a 3-1 lead.
The man of the match was without doubt the Bolton keeper, who made many brilliant saves to deny a now rampant Highgrove side.
He was beaten by two shots which hit the bar, and was also beaten by two shots which were headed off the line by his defenders.
But the keeper could not prevent further goals scored by Rikki Ball, his second, Lee Brade also with his second and the final goal scored by John Pedder.
This win sees Highgrove drawn at home for the first time where they will play another local side, College AFC on November 12.
