JIM Bentley has widened his search for new blood ahead of this weekend’s trip to Wimbledon.
The Shrimps boss’s hopes of bringing in a League 1 front man have stalled in recent weeks and although the deal is not dead, he says he is now also looking at providing back up for other positions as he faces a glut of games in the coming weeks.
Bentley said: “I have to look at options all over the park now really because the squad is so tight.
“We have used the fewest players in League 2 this season and with a host of midweek games coming up we might get a few knocks while those who have played nearly every game this season become a bit more liable to injury and we have to look after them.
“We have two trips to London next week and I would like to freshen things up a bit for those games which will both be tough trips.”
