MORECAMBE FC fans are learning very quickly what kind of manager Jim Bentley will be.

The former Shrimps skipper, at 34, will be one of the youngest managers in the football league and early indications are that he will be a very modern manger.

Bentley isn’t just concerned by how he sets his team up on the field but about goings on off the field.

He told The Visitor last week: “I want to make it (the Globe Arena) feel more like our home. At the moment there are a lot of blank walls and I want to put up some imposing pictures up around the place to give it a bit of colour, especially outside the dressing rooms, which can make it a bit more intimidating for visiting teams.”

At the fans’ forum at the Globe Arena on Wednesday he emphasised: “We need to stamp our own character on the place (the Globe Arena) and whether it means painting the away changing room black or whatever so be it.

“I would like to replicate the North Stand and am looking for ideas to make it feel more like home for the fans. We need each other.”
