Morecambe boss Jim Bentley believes his side have yet to show their full potential despite moving up to sixth in the League 2 table after four successive wins.
The Shrimps came from behind for the third game in a row to pick up three points at Newport at Saturday but Bentley still feels his team have more to offer.
He said: “It was almost an exact replica of the game against Southend last week.
“We weren’t good enough first half and I was disappointed again at the break.
“Newport played really well and they could have been further ahead than they were.
“But we tightened things up in the second half and nullified their attack and looked a lot more solid. Once we did that we largely controlled the game and put them under a lot of pressure.
“We got two goals and could have more in the end because we always looked threatening.
“It was another game of two halves and although I could ask for more in regards to the performance I couldn’t ask for more in terms of the result.
“We showed once again we have an unbelievable spirit and desire and have an amazing will to win and as a manager you can’t ask for any more.”
