THE Jim Bentley era begins this Saturday when Barnet are the visitors to the Globe Arena.
Despite spending nearly all of last season in the League Two relegation places, the Bees completed a miraculous escape on the final day.
After Martin Allen’s resignation to join Notts County in April, Giuliano Grazioli took over as caretaker manager and was the centre of jubilant scenes as Barnet defeated Port Vale 1-0 to secure survival thanks to Lincoln’s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Aldershot.
Grazioli is now the assistant manager, with former Northern Ireland boss Lawrie Sanchez stepping into the hotseat after being the club’s football consultant last season in support of Grazioli.
Names that jump out of Barnet’s possible team sheet include those of strikers Steve Kabba and Izale McLeod who scored 11 and 14 goals respectively last term.
