Carnforth Otters make a splash in Blackpool

A team of 17 Carnforth Otters enjoyed more success at the North Lancs Level 3 Gala in Blackpool.

George Cookson and Ellie Howley both picked up speeding tickets in the 200m freestyle.

Hannah McMillan and Sacha Robb also competed at the same distance with Hannah taking gold.

Hayden Mills took gold in the freestyle before also coming out on top in the 200m backstroke.

Rhys Ashton took top spot in the 200m breastroke while Alice Sands picked up a speeding ticket in the backstroke.

At the shorter distances George and Rhys Ashton took the top two spots in the 100m IM.

Hayden finished second on the 50m freestyle while Ellie Howley finished with a speeding ticket and Hannah McMillan just missed out on a medal.

In the 50m butterfly, Hannah took gold with George also taking top spot.

Ben Winterburn, 13, smashed his personal best times in the 100m and 200m freestyle with Kiera Richmond, 12, also superb in the 100m and 200m breastroke.

Thomas Dugdale, 12, showed he was back to form with a 2:50.15 in the 200m IM and Lydia Denby delivered a superb 200m butterfly to finish in 2:58.86.
