Morecambe fan Isaac Lowe had a couple of important visitors watching him train ahead of his big title fight.

Shrimps boss Jim Bentley and his assistant Ken McKenna paid a visit to watch the Westgate Warrior in action at Coastal ABC in the West End on Thursday.

The unbeaten 21-year-old fights for his first title when he takes on Lee Glover for the English featherweight belt in Blackburn on April 4.

Lowe, who wears the Shrimps badge on his ring gear and has followed the club since he was a boy, trained alongside McKenna during a session at the gym on West End Road.

On his big night Lowe will become the first fighter born in the district to fight for a national title in more than 30 years.

Bentley said: “Issac’s a big Morecambe fan and he’s one of our own.

“Everyone at the club wishes him well for next week.

“Myself and Ken watched him training earlier this week, he looks razor sharp and is confident he can win and do his hometown club proud.”
