Tyson Fury warned world heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko his best is yet to come after a dominant win over Dereck Chisora set up a world title tilt.

The Morecambe giant became mandatory for the Ukrainian’s WBO belt after producing a punch-perfect display to beat Chisora for a second time at London’s Excel Arena on Saturday night.

The Finchley fighter’s corner pulled their man out at the end of the 10th round after Fury had controlled a one-sided contest behind his southpaw jab. 
The 26-year-old, who extended his unbeaten record to 23-0 with 17th knockout, dedicated his win to his late uncle Hughie, from Lancaster.

He said: “Tell me another heavyweight in the world who can box southpaw against a world-class heavyweight who I believe can give any other heavyweight out there a hard run for his money.

“I never really took many blows. I’m very proud of my performance and dedicate it to my uncle Hughie.

“Chisora never really troubled me. It was a good performance from me and there is still lots more to come,

“I’ll save the best for Klitschko.”

Trainer Peter Fury said: “I’m very proud of him.

“He stuck to instruction. It’s not about loading up. This was a very important fight to get the W (win).

“He’s using his brains now and his boxing. He clearly had a lot more tools than Dereck and he used them.

“To do this in memory of my brother’s sensational.”

Promoter Mick Hennessy is now targeting a summer world title match for Fury who also picked up the British and European titles with the win.

He said: “Tyson’s mandatory now.

“Wladimir’s being allowed one more fight in March or April and then after that they’re going to call for purse bids.

“We’re looking at June or July or worst case September or early October.

“But the big fight’s on with Wladimir Klitschko. All he’s got to do is step up and take it and not swerve it.”

Fury is set to fight again on February 28 with promoter Frank Warren planning a show at London’s 02 Arena.
