Isaac Lowe has joined up with trainer Bob Howard, who looked after him as an amateur and in the early stages of his professional career, and is set to link up with Steve Wood of VIP Promotions, the man who first signed the Westgate Warrior when he entered the paid ranks.

The 20-year-old featherweight was looked after by Peter Fury in his last two fights but the uncle and trainer of Tyson Fury has been forced to concentrate on his stable of heavyweights and his ill brother Hughie, from Lancaster.

Lowe, 8-0, is now slated to appear on the VIP show at Blackburn’s St George’s Hall on November 22 before possibly squeezing in what would be a 10th pro fight before the end of the year.

He last fought with a four-round points win over Andy Harris in Leeds in May.
