Despite being the underdog in many people’s eyes Coxon started out at a frenetic pace landing some clean shots.

Hill showed his experience in the second round but Coxon was still on the front foot with a prolonged attack.

Things got even more physical in the third round with the doctor needed to assess a Coxon cut after a clash of heads.

The corner got to work to stop the bleeding ahead of the fourth and final round and with Coxon doing more than enough in the final two minutes to see his hand raised as a unanimous winner.

The Skerton fighter had endured a difficult couple of weeks ahead of the fight and dedicated his win to two friends who had passed away recently, Heather Cumsty and Mandy Dunbar.

Lewicki made sure it was two wins out of two after a unanimous win of his own over Mark Burke of Perth Green Boxing Club.

Lewicki made Burke well aware of his power early on setting the tone for the fight.

It was a toe-to-toe affair at times though with both boxers landing scoring points and heavy blows.

Lewicki unloaded in the final round however to make sure his hand was raised.

The quarter-finals will take place in Chesterfield against the Yorkshire region.
