TWO of Morecambe's younger players have agreed new deals to stay at Christie Park.
Goalkeeper Scott Davies has signed a new two-year deal while attacking midfielder Paul Lloyd has agreed a one-year contract.

Davies finished the season as the Shrimps' first choice goalkeeper and is eager to continue that into the coming season.

The 21-year-old academy graduate told the club website: "I am delighted to have signed for another two years and I aim to challenge Barry all the way for the number one shirt."

Manager Sammy McIlroy was pleased to have the two promising players on board having seen improvement in both of them in recent months.

He said: "Scott Davies did very well last year and he will have learnt from that experience.

"Paul Lloyd has tremendous ability. He is filling out and there is an opportunity for him to push for a place on either the right or the left."
