MORECAMBE picked up another point away to struggling Barnet, thanks to an equaliser from Diarmuid O'Carroll.
Sammy McIlroy named an unchanged side for the visit to Barnet.

Barnet had an early chance through a snap-shot from Adam Birchall which Barry Roche got down well to save.

At the other end, Gary Hunter got on the end of a three man move to hit a curler that Lee Harrison did well to collect.

Then, on 17 minutes, Albert Adomah turned Andy Parrish inside and out before unleashing a wicked drive that Roche could only watch fly past him and into the net to make it 1-0 to the home side.

The home side thought they had added to their lead from a corner on the half hour when Cliff Akurang put the ball in the net but an offside flag soon stifled their celebrations.

Neal Bishop tested the Morecambe keeper rom a free kick, but Roche was up to the challenge and parried it wide.

From the resulting corner, Akurang headed goalward but Hunter was on the line to clear.

Morecambe were coming back into the game as the half time whistle approached and they got their reward on 41 minutes when Diarmuid O'Carroll receieved the ball in the box, chesting it down and turning to fire a superb volley into the net for a deserved equaliser.

The first real chance of the second half came on the hour when substitute, Michael Leary picked up the ball on the edge of the box and hit a first time shot that Roche collected low down.

Barnet defender Ashley Carew also hit a 25-yarder that flew past Roche's post.

With 20 minutes left, Sammy McIlroy brought on on-loan winger Dan Smith to replace Neil Wainwright.

The former York City midfielder Neal Bishop hit a 20-yard drive late on that was deflected out of play, then volleyed the ball over from the corner kick.

Wayne Curtis made a surge through the middle with three minutes to go and was fouled on the edge of the box but Rene Howe's free kick was blocked.
