A charity Christmas song for our #SaveOurHospice campaign is selling like hot cakes.

Fans clamoured for copies of ‘Credit Card Christmas’ by The Paul Hayes Collection as our #SaveOurHospice Roadshow returned to the Arndale Centre on Thursday.

The rock ‘n’ roll song by TV antiques expert Paul Hayes and his band has been flying off the shelves since its release last week.

More than 250 copies have been sold to date, raising nearly £1,000 for the appeal.

Paul and bandmate Garry Pugh were in the Arndale on Thursday signing CDs for fans.

“Thank you so much to everyone who has bought a copy of ‘Credit Card Christmas’,” said Greg Lambert, chief reporter of The Visitor.

“We also can’t thank Paul and the band enough for the amazing job they are doing promoting the song and giving their time to help the campaign.

“Sales have been fantastic so far and we hope this will continue in the run-up to Christmas, as every penny goes to St John’s Hospice.”

Paul will be back in the Arndale this Saturday (November 23) to sign copies of ‘Credit Card Christmas’ between 11am and 1pm.

The Cash in the Attic star will join DJ Steve Middlesbrough for the live entertainment building up to the Arndale’s Christmas lights switch-on at 2pm.

Paul will also be at Morrison’s supermarket on Tuesday, December 3 between noon and 4pm signing copies of the CD.

CDs are also available from The Visitor office on Victoria Street, priced £3. All proceeds from sales go to St John’s Hospice.
