See slideshowTWO local teenagers wowed the audience and the judges at the Face of 2007 final night at Morecambe's Dome.
The Dome was packed on Wednesday night for the glittering climax to the competition when the two earned themselves modelling contracts with top agency, Boss from Manchester.
Katy Chapman, 18, an A-level student at Lancaster Girls' Grammar School, wowed the audience and the judges with her stunning supermodel looks and poise to take the girls' prize.
The guys' award went to Steve Quick, a 19-year-old barman at Lancaster's Water Witch pub whose handsome English appearance drew comparisons with the country's most eligible bachelor, Prince William.
Runners up were Daniel Jones and last year's Miss Morecambe, Laura Johnson.
Speaking after her win, Katy said: "I'm overwhelmed. It hasn't quite kicked in yet though.
"There's so many gorgeous girls and I really didn't think I'd win. It was really tense backstage, everyone was really nervous. But they're all really nice girls and a couple are good friends from school."
Katy's step-dad, Andrew Stoyle, added: "I was looking at everyone tonight and I just thought Katy looked really classy. I'm really proud of her and this means she's got options now."
The male winner Steve Quick, a 19-year old barman at Water Witch, said: "I feel over the moon. I was quite nervous to start but my fans really helped me and I just enjoyed the moment.
"I didn't think I'd win. I thought Daniel Jones (runner up) would win it.
"I knew I'd won because I could see the piece of paper the lady was holding. I thought it must have been a mistake.
Steve says he hasn't got a girlfriend but said that "all the female contestants were absolutely cracking."
The last Face winner, Matthew Gregoire, said: "I loved it tonight, it was a good show. It was so different to be out at the front, rather than nervous at the back.
"I come back to Morecambe often to see my friends and family but this weekend I'll be shooting for a magazine and I'll be a stand-in model at a show Harvey Nick's.
"The winners should go into the job with an open mind. I'm really pleased for Steve and Katy. Katy's stunning and I hope she does well. It'll be good to work with them."
