After a few downpours on a blustery Saturday morning, the rain and wind that had blighted the town for weeks thankfully drifted away as the West End Festival, 'Catch The Wind' Kite Festival, Morecambe Jazz 2007 and the Festival Market Fun Weekend brought people out of doors in their droves.
And on Sunday, these events played out to something closely resembling warm summer sunshine!
Kites were bought, made and then flown high over Morecambe promenade on Sunday, as once again the 'Catch The Wind' event proved to be one of the most popular and colourful on the town's calendar.

Performers included The Real Macaws, Baybeat, Sue Parish, Jimmy Thompson, Jukalo the Juggler and the Inner State Theatre Company.

What's your view on the use of CCTV?

Only appropriate in certain crime-spot areas
I'd be very worried if we had too many
