But Olivier Delaunoy, operations director at the hotel, warned that their first priority will be their paying guests.

The hotel's 44 rooms are fully booked up for the first day of opening, although thousands more visitors are expected throughout the first day to sight-see and try to get a first glimpse inside the Midland.

The Midland's bar, restaurant and sun lounge are all open to the public, as is The Midland Spa beauty treatment centre.

And hotel management have said they will try to accommodate as many people as possible.

But they also said there is a chance not everyone will be able to see inside on the first day, depending on demand.

After all, the hotel is not going anywhere and there will be plenty of opportunities for people to see inside the Midland throughout the weeks and months to come!

Olivier said: "There might be a gazillion people outside on Sunday.

"We welcome them but we will control the situation - we are fully booked and our priority will be our guests."

What's your view on the use of CCTV?
More the merrier - if you've done nothing wrong, you've nothing to worry about
Only appropriate in certain crime-spot areas
I'd be very worried if we had too many
