MORE than 160 people raised £770 for this year’s Sport Relief by taking part in a mass Zumba event at Salt Ayre Sports Centre.

The half-hour dance saw people of all ages dancing away to a series of Latin rhythms.

Led by the centre’s fitness class staff, many of the dancers wore red clothes and wigs to show their support for Sport Relief.

Ben France, fitness co-ordinator at Salt Ayre. was thrilled with the huge number of people who attended the event.

On a sunny Sunday morning, more than 300 people also took part in the Sport Relief Mile around the cycle track at Salt Ayre.

Each runner was sponsored and contributed to the £52m total raised this year.
