The prospective Parliamentary Labour Candidate, Amina Lone, was selected by democratic procedure from a very strong field of four applicants on the first round of voting.
Two of the candidates were local and two were from outside the area. Each had an equal opportunity to present their case.
Each of the candidates in their addresses pointed out they had union support for their application and the candidate receiving most votes was nominated.
A most worthy candidate to represent Morecambe and Lunesdale constituency.
Isn’t our current parliamentarian a ‘comer-in’.
I taste sour grapes from a supporter of an unsuccessful nominee. Commiserations to the unsuccessful candidates but congratulations on an excellent contest.
