Where were the police?

Have your say

A wagon broke down at Stonewell on Friday, midday, June 28, causing the traffic to come to a constipated stop for an hour.

What did the police do?

“Well we informed the recovery vehicle operatives who informed us that they would take an hour to get there.”

Did they telephone the Morecambe police traffic department to make this congestion known to them?

No.

“We did all we had to.”

A sign on the Shrimp roundabout would have stopped all Morecambe traffic from entering this quagmire.

Much as I admire the boys and girls in blue, I wonder if they’re aware that Neil Armstrong sent a message to ground control, 43 years ago.

He was on the moon at the time.
