Shopping here makes my day

As a mature resident of Morecambe (came six years ago, used to visit as a child). I would like to meet the so called experts whom did a survey of Morecambe shops/restaurants, etc, etc, and compared it with Birmingham. Different culture, I can assure you about that.

I can assure you about that.

I was retail trained in Manchester, Paulden’s then Lewis’s, then Selfridges London – Max Factor.

I can assure you Morecambe is perfectly delightful regarding service and manners, attention, quality of goods, purchases, wide variety of choice, good quality traditional crafts and home-made goods. There’s a wide choice of places to eat, a cinema and the Platform Theatre.

I would always pop into the tourist office of everywhere I have lived to find out about an area. That’s always the appropriate place to ask isn’t it?

When I am in Birmingham, London, Manchester, Chichester, West Sussex or Derby, the tourist office is where I go to find information. You can’t expect the shop assistants to know. They may not come from the area they are working in that day.

What a stupid thing to say that shop assistants did not have enough knowledge of Morecambe.

I rest my case to the so called ‘experts’.
