Our household has recently received a very one-sided “special survey” from David Morris MP, inviting us to agree with his opposition of a wind turbine at Heysham Port, on the grounds that it will be a “blot on the landscape”.
I find it difficult to understand why he is so concerned about the visual impact of a wind turbine, whilst actively supporting a new nuclear power station nearby. Surely this will be an even bigger blot on the landscape?
According to an article in July, his other objection to wind energy is about the decommissioning process, which again seems very minor compared with decommissioning a nuclear power station.
I would be interested to know what his actual problem is with wind turbines.
