A NEW leaflet has been produced highlighting the diverse range of events and activities on offer to mark the 400th anniversary of the Lancashire Witch Trials.
A special programme of events has been pulled together by a range of organisations, from museums to artists, authors to the Priory church, to give people the opportunity to explore the extraordinary lives, journey and ultimate fate of the Lancashire Witches (also known as the Pendle witches).
The programme also aims to highlight places and venues significant to one of the most notorious events in the county’s history.
Events listed include the newly commissioned Witches Art Trails through the Forest of Bowland, exhibitions at the City and Judges Lodgings Museums, as well as a revival of the production of ‘Sabbat’ by the Dukes Theatre.
Williamson Park’s Ashton Memorial is hosting a special multimedia exhibition – Witch Hunts, then and now.
Here you can experience the sights and sounds of 1612 Lancashire and 2012 Nigeria.
